February

Studio 207 · 20 - 23 November, 10:00am–6:00pm

A small Bitsy thing about February. A month that never seems to end. A month that for the past 3 and a half years have always brought something dark.

Daniil Nikitin is a Bergen-based digital artist whose practice spans from papercraft scale models to software-based and game-engine works. Known online under the alias DaniilWTC, he first gained attention for creating detailed paper replicas of New York City skyscrapers, shared freely with online communities such as SkyscraperCity. Since 2022, his focus has turned toward exploring his Russian background and developing an outspoken critique of the Putin regime, using open digital platforms as mediums for political reflection.

Working across tools from Microsoft Paint to web-based interactive works and game engines like Bitsy and Construct, Nikitin investigates how technology mediates memory, identity, and resistance. His work situates inner conflict and global unrest in dialogue through visual, generative, and spatial forms. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Digital Culture at the University of Bergen.
